It's not as good as WordJong, but it's close. This game took some time to get used to, as it doesn't provide a lot of direction or help. However, once you figure it out, it's really challenging and will get your brain going.
Some categories are so vague that it adds more challenge to the puzzle because you're not sure what they mean by the clue. I love word puzzles and the day I got it, I played for 2 hours after only planning to play for a few minutes. I highly recommend it. It's a great way to unwind at the end of the day. It's very addicting. I read the one review that mentioned that the categories get repetitive and they do, but they've been different words each time.
This might be a fun game for young teens, but beyond that, it's pretty much a waste of money and time. As a huge word game fan, I was very disappointed in how repetitive this game actually is with the clues. At first glance, the game seemed challenging, but after spending a couple of hours playing this game, it became easier and easier to solve the clues.
A bit easier than I thought it would be, but still very fun and engaging.
They should have added some more games such as hangman maybe. If you like word games, especially Anagrams, this is for you. My mistake. Or some other word fun. I enjoyed the games. That's my first thought when I got the Wordmaster DS.
I don't know, I guess I got the impression that there was going to be alot of word games. If you are looking for a bunch of variety games, look elsewhere. There's only TWO games on there. They give you clues to guess what the word is which helps alot. Wordmaster and Anagrams.
With that said, the two games are fun.
